how to add color to a neutral outfit

When it comes to my wardrobe, I am all about neutrals and rarely venture into anything too colorful. I have found some really easy ways to add color to my outfits without being too bold or worried about wearing a bright color that is completely out of my usual range.

I challenge you to add some color into your life, here’s how I will be doing it.

  1. Accessorize- A go-to outfit for me is jeans and a plain T-Shirt with a casual front tuck. Adding a bright orange bag like the one below creates the perfect pop of color without actually having to commit to much.

  2. Plain instead of patterned- I tend to stay away from bright, patterned clothing. I just find it to be more versatile this way. Instead of reaching for a bright patterned blouse, try a bright blouse without the fussy pattern. This way you can wear it over and over again and still feel adventurous without trying too hard. Tip- if you are wearing a bright blouse, make sure everything else is super neutral and understated.

  3. Makeup- Nothing like a red or orange lipstick to add some color to a neutral look. I love adding colour to an outfit by committing to a bright lip.
